Project Overview
Following Verde Botánica's brand identity work, they commissioned us to document the production of their debut campaign photoshoot. The brief was to create a behind-the-scenes film series — content that pulls back the curtain on the craft behind the brand, for use on their social channels and as part of a media kit for press and retail buyers.
The Challenge
BTS content is often treated as an afterthought — phone footage and talking heads stuck together. Verde Botánica needed BTS content that was as beautiful as the campaign itself, because their audience and buyers would be watching it as a quality signal.
Our Solution
We planned the BTS production in parallel with the campaign shoot, treating it as a co-production rather than a secondary unit. We captured the tension and focus of a professional shoot: the light setups, the botanical sourcing process, the iteration between photographer and creative director. Delivered as three episodic chapters: Before, During, and After the shoot.
The Outcome
The three-episode series was released over three consecutive weeks, extending the launch campaign by 21 days. Each episode outperformed their regular content by 4x in reach. Two press features mentioned the BTS series specifically as what drew them to the brand.
